Day In The Life photography can take on many different types of stories to tell. This is one of my favorites - a day in the life of mommy and me! We started our adventure with hot dogs and french fries. But who can resist an ice cream cone on a wonderful spring day. Our adventure took us to Old Town Fort Collins where we played around and explored. But nothing beats the fun we had in the splash pad!
I love love love taking pictures with this family! I have been capturing moments for them for a couple of years now. I have a fairly off the beaten track kind of approach to photography from what most people know. I don't do posey posey. I don't do babies in baskets. No cheese cloth around here. I want to take authentic pictures of what your life looks like right now. I show up, let myself into the house, gossip for a bit and pull the camera out. They are at ease, I'm at ease. Life happens. Even as we "try" to make the posed stuff happen we laugh cause it just ain't happening. I love it. Just life.
The love these two have for each other is priceless. They have been married for 50 years and are still smitten with each other. This photoshoot was so relaxed and enjoyable. I stayed with them at their cabin and captured their every day life. It was a wonderful experience for me, filled with memories I won't soon forget.
Spending an afternoon with dear friends of mine is always a joy. I have known Mom and Dad for over 10 years now and it has been such a pleasure to share my life with them. From college days shenanigans to their wedding and then now to watch them grow as wonderful parents. Capturing life's little moments for wonderful people always brings me such joy.
